Nichiha: The modular house market is expected to continue to expand globally due to various factors, including environmental issues, but are modular houses common in Romania?
Ans: The modular houses are at the beginning in Romania. The modular construction are growing in Romanian market because of : fewer permits (which decreases time for obtaining construction documents), decrease construction delivery time, not to mention usually the price/㎡ is lower. Also, new technologies allow us to make pasive houses (energetical independent buildings).

Nichiha: Among them, our EX series panels were chosen for a small, portable modular house for an event. Please tell us how you The hidden clips system is superior. came to consider this.
Ans: We work with Associate Systems SRL for a long time and they presented Nichiha products to us. We liked a lot the design variety and the quality of Nichiha products. Another factor was the hidden clip mounting system and the fact that they perform very well during transportation - no cracks occurred during transport.

Nichiha: What was the deciding factor that ultimately led you to choose our exterior wall materials?
Ans: Excepting the above mentioned facts, I would say that, the fact that Associate Systems SRL promotes your material was a very important factor in our decision. They knows a lot about fiber cement and they said that Nichiha are the best in the world.

Nichiha: The exterior panels of European FC manufacturers that were previously used were riveted, whereas our exterior panels are attached with clips. What were your impressions of the workability when you actually performed test installation at the factory?
Ans: The hidden clips system is superior to the riveted system in my opinion. First of all you don't see the clips like you see the rivets on the panels. Second you have easier and faster mounting time. Everyone who was involved in the mounting of Nichiha panels were very happy with the ease of the mounting process.

Nichiha: In the lifting test after the test construction, FC panels made by other companies were often damaged, but our panels hardly suffered any damage and we heard that the customer was satisfied with the high strength. Did you expect this result before the test?
Ans: Well, Associate Systems SRL told us that because of the clips mounting system, the panels won't crack during transport. I didn't belive it at first, because we used a lot of materials before Nichiha (like ceramics, fc boards from other producers) and everytime we had cracked panels after transport. With Nichiha we made 50 small houses and not even one panels cracked, which is impressive.

Nichiha: The client chose wood-grain panels that blend in with the surroundings. Are wood-grain designs popular in Romania?
Ans: In Romania wood patterns are popular and I think Nichiha panels will have a good market here.

Nichiha: We heard that modular houses using our panels have already been used at an event. Have you received any positive feedback from modular manufacturers or from members of the public who attended the event?
Ans: Yes, people noticed the panels, but many don't even realise that it is not wood. The texture is so simillar to wood that people can't even make the diference if you don't explain to them. It is amazing that we have a product so similar to wood but without any wood problems.

Nichiha: We think you may be considering expanding into larger modular houses in the future. In that case too, would you consider using our exterior panels?
Ans: Yes, we have houses projects also. We will definetely buy Nichiha products for the facades.

Nichiha: What do you find attractive about our exterior wall materials?
Ans: The hidden clip system and the fact that you have a big variety of wood, stone and brick fiber cement products.
